The Inspirational Ministry of John Barros

John Barros ministers full time outside of the Orlando Women’s Center.  He shares the gospel with abortion-minded women.  Please take a moment to watch this short video about his ministry.

My family doesn’t live nearby an abortion clinic, but I still feel the need to do more than I do now.  If you do live nearby a clinic, would you consider ministering there?

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.

Proverbs 31:8

Be blessed!

Good for him. We need front line people, behind the scenes people, and everyone in between. I have not participated in something like this but while volunteering with a pro-life pregnancy center we heard that a Planned Parenthood was coming to town. They requested we not go there and protest since we volunteered there. But, they did ask us to pray, pray hard, and pray often. They also asked when we drove by the building to pray. I did, and often.

One day a co-volunteer and I were running an errand for the center and had to drive by the PP building. We decided to park, get out, and put our hands on the building (which wasn’t open yet) and pray. We prayed for those working there, for the women who would enter the building, and more. Suddenly we heard a voice. We both looked up to see someone coming out. The woman had to have known what we were doing. I remember my heart beating out of my chest…nearly. She walked up, introduced herself as the DIRECTOR of the center, and invited us in. I looked at my co-volunteer and she looked at me. We said, “OK”. We walked in, she talked to us about the “great services” they would be offering and their start date. We thanked her and walked out, too speechless (as we were caught so off guard) to say anything. I asked her, once we got back in the car, what was going through her head while we were in there. She said, “All I could do was pray and pray hard for everyone in those walls and everyone that would be in them”. I told her that’s what I did, I prayed for that woman and all that would work there.

Our PP closed. The DIRECTOR became a Christian, changed her view to a pro-life stance (she sees what really happens and she knows the truth and is now pro-life), and they couldn’t staff the center. I don’t know what our prayers had to do with it. All I know is we were faithful in them. Never, ever, ever discount praying when that’s “all” you are able to do.

So, WHO is going to take care of all the kids who would be born? Abortion is LEGAL! What you and others are doing is wrong. Everyone has a right to choose.

    • Nicole says:

Slavery was once legal too. Just because something is legal, does not mean that it’s okay. Abortion is murder, plain and simple.

I can’t imagine what would bring women to have more and more abortions! There are tears in my eyes currently. I encourage all women to have their babies, unless they have deadly complications, although some may disagree on that part. I really want to minister, but I don’t know how? Do you have any tips,? I don’t want to be heckled, but on the other hand life matters more. If any of you have any tips from experience or knowledge, please let me know. God Bless!
