If you are a Christian mom, you have a big responsibility. I too, feel this weight upon my shoulders. We are raising little ones in a world that is contrary to the God we serve. Sometimes this responsibility just seems too hard, and we want to throw in the towel.
But moms, we can’t give up or give in. These little ones that are in our care were entrusted to us by God himself! And our God is counting on us to raise up these little ones for His glory. To change the world for Him.
What can we do when we don’t feel sufficient? Well, admitting our weakness is a good start! The Word of God says…
And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. -2 Corinthians 12:9
When we are weak, He is strong. And He imparts His strength to us! How incredible is that. When we are empty, He will fill us.
Moms who raise world changers must be grounded in God’s word. They must realize that without Him, we are nothing. Moms who raise world changers must love the One that they serve above all else. They must give their children back to God daily.
Moms who raise world changers have to realize that our vision of a “world changer” probably looks vastly different than God’s vision. Our vision might include pastors who pack out stadiums. God’s vision includes hands that tuck in small children at night while praying over their sweet little heads.
Because momma, you are a world changer too. When you pray with your children, teach them about our almighty God, and tend to their needs you are pouring the strength that God has given you into them. World changers do not need to be famous, but instead, faithful. Fathers and mother’s who impart God’s vision into their children are changing the world more than they will ever know.
