Words of Encouragement – Don’t Be Afraid to Be Feminine

Several months ago I mentioned that I would like to begin sharing quotes and snippets from books and the like that might be encouraging to you, dear friends!  Today I’m sharing encouragement from Nancy Leigh DeMoss.  Don’t be afraid to be feminine.

“Do you know who you are? God made you a woman. Accept His gift. Don’t be afraid to be feminine and to add physical and spiritual loveliness to the setting where He has placed you. You are a child of God. You are a part of the bride of Christ. You belong to the King–you are royalty. Dress and conduct yourself in a way that reflects your high and holy calling. God has called you out of this world’s system–don’t let the world press you into its mold. Don’t think, dress, or act like the world; inwardly and outwardly, let others see the difference He makes in your life.”

  1. So true! I spent way too much time buying into the idea that I had to be “one of the boys” in order to make it in life. So glad God put good teachers in my life to show me what’s really important and that He made women feminine for a reason.

  2. What a wonderful quote. Femininity is not respected or treasured like it used to be and it is nice to remind outselves that God made us women for a reason… NOT to compete with men, but to nurture and be all that He wants us to be. Thank you for sharing that quote. 🙂
