A Weekly Glimpse into Our Home #3

In an attempt to hold myself accountable, I would love to share a weekly glimpse into our home from time to time. It is so easy for me to overlook the simple joys that God has so graciously allowed me to enjoy as a homemaker.

If you would like to follow along, please do! Feel free to comment about your week below, or leave a link to your posts.

This week I…

…am loving the ways of the Lord. This might sound silly, but since we’ve moved, I’ve felt a newfound freedom to follow convictions without fear or worry as to how extended family might react. It has been wonderful!

…am readingThe Virtuous Woman from Rod and Staff Publications. I love this book. I’ve read through it before, and it’s firm and no-nonsense teaching style is like a breathe of fresh air in a world with so much wishy-washiness (if that is even a word, ha!)

…am watching my children enjoy all kinds of new wildlife. Several Eastern Screech Owls live in our woods, and at nightfall my kiddos call to them, and they call back!

…am praying that I will continue to cultivate joy in my home. Keeping my mind focused on the Lord through the day is really a huge key for me.

…am hoping that I will find the time to empty a few more boxes this week.

…am looking forward to visiting a pumpkin patch with my family.

…am using Lavender to calm both little ones and myself. My favorite lavender oil is “Lavender Vera Wild” from Florihana.

…am diffusing Autumn Breeze by Plant Therapy once again. I love it’s scent!

…am planning ways to use the huge amount of chicken leg quarters I picked up at Lidl for $0.39/pound. I need to purchase the ingredients for a lemon pepper rub.

…am working on home school work with my children. We are starting to find our groove after a late start. I also just became a Mary & Martha consultant. I’m passionate about beautifying my home with God’s truth, and so this seemed like a perfect fit for me.

I pray y’all have had a lovely week!

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.

2 Corinthians 9:8 NASB

Thank you so much for stopping by! I would love to connect with you on Facebook. I’d also like to invite you to my Mary & Martha Facebook Page, and to my Mary & Martha website. It is a such a blessing to serve you!
