Teen Room Decorating and Storage Ideas

*Hello friends!  My daughter recently posted about how she and her sister have decorated their rooms on her own blog, and I wanted to share their ideas here as well.  They are so creative, and have made their rooms into lovely and peaceful spaces.  I hope you enjoy!*

Hey guys! With a recent move, my sisters (and mom!) have had a lot of fun decorating our new rooms. I love to decorate, and with us downsizing a little, we’ve found some new ways to store our things. I share a room with my 11 year old sister, and I really love how we’ve been able to organize our sides of the room. She’s definitely not as much of a neat freak as I can be, but with less space, it’s easier to keep it clean anyway. That’s one perk of moving into a smaller room!

One of my other sisters, Maddy, is just down the hall from us and I took a few pictures of her room first.

Upon moving, my mom bought that storage shelf to store the little girls’ clothes in. I’m pretty sure it came from Walmart, and I *love* the color it is. Super pretty!

I bought the rejoice plaque at a craft fair, and the other two pictures came from Hobby Lobby.

My dad made several shelves when we moved, and this one is also in her room! Most of her decor came from Hobby Lobby, except I made the mug and the candle was a gift.

And, of course, bookshelves are very important. : D Maddy also has some of her rose photography framed.

Now onto my room! I bought this gold holder thing at a Bealls outlet back in Georgia, and it is SO useful. It’s right next to the door, so when I get home I’ll always put my purse on one of the hooks and stick whatever book I’m reading up there. When it gets a little colder, I’ll probably also use it for a jacket. Now hopefully I’ll be better with losing stuff.

The beautiful shelves that my dad made! These are the ones over my bed, and my roommate/sister has identical ones over her bed. The Calm & Bright Mug is available here.

Maddy and I both bought chicken wire frames at a craft fair, and I’m looking forward to putting pictures on it!

My bookshelf and TV. I also store some of my books in the closet.

I guess that’s it for today! Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!
