Happy December, ladies! I can hardly believe we are nearing the end of the year. A new decade is upon us!
We are recovering from a fun and busy week. My oldest daughter finally became well enough to stay at our home during her Thanksgiving break and it was so nice to see her. She has decided to take next semester off, and I’m counting down the days until she is home again in December.
My days are still filled with cuddling and feeding baby Moses. He is the sweetest little thing. It’s funny, but I’m finding myself enjoying the little things in life so much more now. If I find the time to take a shower, it is fantastic! A piece of chocolate? Wonderful! Such is the life of a mother taking care of a new baby, and I wouldn’t trade it.
The Lord has definitely been using this time to stretch and sanctify me. I’m so thankful to have Him to lean on during my postpartum period.
Little by little, things are returning to our new normal. This week I actually pulled a craft together for the kids, made a roasted vegetable dish, and decorated our home for winter. Huge accomplishments for me while caring for a three week old.
Welcome, winter!
Within the next week or two, I’ll slowly ease back into schooling our little ones, Lord willing. They are thoroughly enjoying their break.
We are getting close to paying off our mortgage, praise God. I’ve been spending a lot of time figuring possible pay off dates. We will definitely be very frugal during the next few months.
I hope everyone has a lovely December! I will pop on here whenever I have the chance. Many blessings to you and your families!
Please take a look at our new shop just for Christian ladies here.
Happy that your daughter is well and coming home.
