Life in Our Home || January 2020

Happy 2020, ladies! I hope your year has been blessed thus far. We are still battling sickness over here, but I’m not complaining. Our newest little one has been spared, and I’m so grateful.

One big change has happened in our home since I wrote here last. As of December 19, 2019, we became mortgage free. Praise the Father!

I hope to write more about this before long. We feel like a huge burden has been lifted off of us, and we are so grateful.

Our children have begun violin lessons again after taking a winter break, and they are really enjoying it. Our homeschool is slowly getting into a new groove after the birth of Moses in November.

Since paying off our home, I’ve been working on slowly increasing our food storage. This is going to be a slow process, but it is encouraging to see our food supply growing.

We also planted some elderberry cuttings on our property this month. I’m hoping they root well and start to grow this spring.

I’ve been staying home a lot, and have been contemplating contentment. It is easy to say how much I enjoy being at home, but when tucked inside with sickness, a newborn who doesn’t like his car seat, and the darkness of winter, the rubber meets the road. I’m doing what I can to see the good in each day, and can honestly say this life is beautiful. Each day is full of miracles if you look for them.

Thanks for stopping by!
