Life in Our Home || October 2020 + Simply Earth Essential Oil Code

Ladies, life is good! It’s October, my favorite month of all. We’ve been staying at home a lot, and I’ve really been enjoying it!

Life has been bustling around here. Home renovation projects are in full force. Most recently, we’ve been painting our basement walls with water sealer. That stuff is thick, and despite it being a pain to work with, I’m glad it’s going up. It means we are one step closer to being able to use the basement for storage!

Speaking of paint, I’m in the middle of painting the living room walls for the third time since May. Crazy, I know. At first, we painted it more of a gray-beige, but it was too shiny. I then painted over that with a duller finish. But I just don’t like the color as good as my tried and true light brown. It might not be the popular farmhouse color right now, but it makes the space feel warm and I love it!

Our chickens are laying so many eggs right now. We are so blessed to have them, but honestly, I don’t know what to do with them all. I plan to whip up a big batch of egg salad to use for sandwiches tomorrow. I also plan to make sourdough bread to go along with it. Hooray for learning new things! I’m by no means an expert, but I started to play around with sourdough during the pandemic.

Homeschooling is going really well, We are mainly using Masterbooks this year, and my middle children especially seem to be thriving. I’m always nervous when trying a new curriculum, but Masterbooks seems to be a winner.
