You are My Hiding Place

You are my hiding place and my shield —in Your word I hope.

Psalms 119:114 TLV

Good morning, ladies. Happy Friday! The weekend is almost here, and I’m beyond happy to have my husband home for a few days again.

I wanted to pop in today and share a bit of encouragement with you. We serve a great God who is for us, and not against us. When life feels tough, He is there to hide us, shield us, and protect us.

Have you ever gone through a rough patch, and feel like the Lord has carried you through? I know I have. It is an amazing feeling. His grace is enough when we haven’t gotten enough sleep or when we have a wayward child. He is there in the small and the big things.

We have so much hope in His Word. Hope for a glorious and good future if we take up our cross and follow Him. I used to have a “bucket list” of places I’d like to visit, but not anymore. I’ve come to realize that the world to come will much more breathtaking than anything in this world here. It is better to quietly hope in His Word and serve our families than to keep a wish list full of things we’d like to do.

We can face each day as wives and moms knowing that He is waiting as a hiding place when we face adversity. We need not fear. He is there.

I have been so tired lately. My nearly one year old hasn’t been sleeping well. Still. Coupled with this, I have been questioning so many life decisions, and a relationship with one of my children is strained. Boy, have I ever needed Him as a hiding place!

And He is there in my messy kitchen and loud living room. He is so kind to meet us where we are when we diligently seek Him. I would like to encourage you to seek His face and hide in Him today, sisters. He loves you so much!
