I feel like we are living in opposite world.
Do you feel the same?
We are being told that what we believe to be right is wrong, and that one opinion needs to be silenced.
And the theories about what may happen next. Oh my. I found myself scrolling through Parler last night, shocked about how Big Tech plans to silence those who disagree with them. I can’t support that, or them. I’ve left Facebook, along with the 10,000+ of you who met with me there. That was hard. Instagram is next. I’m mighty annoyed at Amazon. Perhaps it’s time to break up with them, too?
The thing is, I’m not even what you would call “patriotic.” I don’t agree with the President’s tone, or choice of words, when he speaks usually. But I do appreciate the freedoms in our country…and I see them slipping. I do believe that President Trump is a “Cyrus” of sorts, and that he has been used for good.
The current events have caught me by surprise in a way, but truly, they shouldn’t have. The writing has been on the wall. I believe for far too long we have grown complacent. Our generation in America hasn’t dealt with much in terms of major war, poverty, and pandemics. Generations before us have, and by relying on God they became prosperous. We inherited their prosperity, and knowing no great adversity, have become lazy. When a generation becomes lazy, hardships come. So while what is going on in the world may seem shocking, it shouldn’t be. There is nothing new under the sun.
So mamas, what should we do while living in opposite world?
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
Knowing that we will have tribulation in this world, we are to find peace in God’s Word. So much peace is there, if we only look for it!
The Lord holds the whole world in His hands. Take heart. This is no surprise to Him.
He will lead us along, and in the end, bring us to safety. He wins! But this doesn’t mean that we won’t face and endure tribulation along the way.
True peace comes from abiding in our Messiah.
Then Yeshua (Jesus) said to the Judeans who had trusted Him, “If you abide in My word, then you are truly My disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free!” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s children and have never been slaves to anyone! How can you say, ‘You will become free’?” Yeshua answered them, “Amen, amen I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now the slave does not remain in the household forever; the son abides forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed!
John 8:31-36 TLV
Ladies, we need to immerse ourselves in the Word. Abide in it. Stay there. This will bring us peace and help us break free from the slavery any sin in our life has brought upon us. We want to remain in His household, don’t we?
If there is unrepentant sin in our lives, we can be sure that peace will not come. And oh, how we need His peace!
Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. The branch cannot itself produce fruit, unless it abides on the vine. Likewise, you cannot produce fruit unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from Me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and is dried up. Such branches are picked up and thrown into the fire and burned. “If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples.” “Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you. Abide in My love! If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and your joy may be full.
John 15:4-11 TLV
While we are living in opposite world, the best advice I have to give is to abide. Repent of sin. Stay in His Word. Do His commandments. Seek His peace. Teach these things to your children.
Take heart, for He has overcome the world.
Amen. Truly agree with you. I look forward to your posts and enjoy reading them. May God help us and may we be with Him! And close to Him!
Thank you, Victoriya! Yes, staying close to God is so important.❤️
