I hope you are having a nice Father’s Day with your family, if you choose to celebrate it. We are enjoying our favorite guy today, as well as spoiling him a little. He takes good care of our family and definitely deserves it!
Last night my older children and I spent some time decorating our dining room. We hung a balloon banner and a well-used decorative celebration sign. We lined the mantle with handmade Father’s Day signs and carefully laid out the treasures my children made for their daddy.

This morning we woke up bright and early, and my husband enjoyed opening his homemade gifts. The pound cake I made for him was a hit, and of course, we ate it for breakfast!
After getting dressed, I worked on a few shirt designs on my computer for Etsy orders. We tidied the dining room while discussing what to do for the day. My husband decided that he would like to go to a couple of sporting goods stores, and we would aim to leave after lunchtime.
I fed Moses his cereal, and then went outside to check on our garden. It rained quite a bit yesterday due to a tropical system blowing in. Most of my plants are doing quite well, and I spent about fifteen minutes pulling weeds. Before going inside I discovered my first tiny pumpkin growing. So exciting!

Besides my relationship with God and my family, the most satisfaction in my life comes from being outdoors and growing things. I feel so close to the Creator while I enjoy His creation!
After coming indoors, I discovered that Moses had had a major blowout that called for a bath! He enjoyed it immensely. Splashing in water is one of his favorite activities. After dressing him, I packed his diaper bag and started brushing and braiding hair. Three little girls were ready to go in about fifteen minutes time.
Before leaving, we decided to heat up leftovers and eat a bit more cake. I decided to bring a booklet titled “Is God a Trinity?” (you can get this for free here) as well as my Bible to study while we were gone. I usually prefer to hang out in the car while visiting sporting goods stores, ha!
