I’ve been quiet here, yet again. Things have been strange lately. I honestly feel like I’ve been transported to a strange opposite world, where my understanding of life totally conflicts with others. At least, that’s what the media tells me.
My husband is facing a vaccine mandate at his job. Is he in healthcare, you might ask? Why no, he works at an electric co-op in conservative North Georgia. There are medical systems who still do not mandate vaccines in our area, and yet my husband’s workplace has. What in the world?
He has until Friday to “choose” to take the vaccine and receive a $500 bonus for doing so. After that, the vaccine will be mandated, and no bonus for you.
Oh, how we’ve struggled with this. We are freedom loving people, and do not take injecting a foreign substance into our arm which then changes things at a cellular level in our bodies lightly. At the same time, we do love our neighbor. We social distance and mask up. We stay at home. But mandating a vaccine which is now threatening my family’s livelihood is going too far.
And so, I thought I’d like to share why we are hesitant to become vaccinated. Surely we aren’t alone in this.
The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were tested using cloned cells from aborted fetal cell lines, and the J & J vaccine was both created and tested using these aborted fetal cell lines. You can read more about this here.
Pfizer has a very tainted history in regards to lying and manipulation. The company has paid out massive cash settlements in the past. You can read more about this here.
Just because a drug is FDA approved, it doesn’t mean that it won’t later be pulled for serious side effects and deaths. You can read about the times this has happened here.
Fully vaccinated individuals are now known to spread the virus and have been told to wear masks in areas of high transmission. The vaccinated folks are unknowingly spreading the virus to others. This is not okay. In our area, approximately 30% of people are vaccinated, and 10% of those in area hospitals are vaccinated. This doesn’t seem like the protection I’d be looking for. You can read more about this here.
Serious side effects and deaths have been reported due to this vaccine. When there is a risk, there should be a choice. Let me repeat. When there is a risk, there should be a choice.
It would be nice if we lived in a world where the importance of a healthy lifestyle was discussed more regarding this virus. The standard American diet and our sedentary lifestyle is killing us, and instead of addressing this serious problem, we are instructed to get a jab. A study has found that vegans are 73% less likely to get severe Covid. I’d much rather eat this way and allow my God-given immune system protect me. You can read more about this here.
I would appreciate prayers for my family, and for others who may find themselves in this same situation. I’m grateful to trust that God is our ultimate provider. He will hold us fast!
Hello! I am so sorry to hear of your struggle! This is indeed a hard thing. I wish I could tell you what to do but instead I will share my story. I recently also was faced with a similar situation at my job (and there are so many people I personally know who are facing similar situations). I work in a federal office. We have until the 31st to declare our vaccine status on a document that declares it is for ‘informational purposes only’ but if they need it in a court of law, to provide to homeland security, in a medical situation and the list kept ongoing of the ways they ‘could’ use this information. It also states that if we declare we don’t want to say if we have or have not we will be treated as if we have not been and be subjected to testing every three days or so. There were loop holes, such as anyone coming to our office for the purpose of completing business did not have to declare or have testing. We were not even to ask them. But if it was a service man, repair man or housekeeping we had to ask them all the questions and they had to keep their paperwork on them to state such things except if it was after hours.. Terrible. My co-worker and I are partnered with the federal government not employees of it. We approached it with kindness and with logic but appealed to our bosses for advice stating we would not get the vaccine nor get tested as this was not in our contract when we signed it. We offered however to work from home only coming to the office after hours to retrieve more work etc. After three days of waiting, we were granted a work from home status and not have to fill out the declaration at all. We start today. Another friend works at the hospital as a blood drawer. She was facing the same issue or lose her job. She requested a religious exemption and it was graciously granted to her. They cannot fire everyone. May God grant you wisdom at this time and protection for your income. Blessings, Jennifer Pierce

Thank you so much for sharing your story, Jennifer. It was very encouraging to me, and I’m sure it will encourage others as well!
I am so sorry you are going through this. My sister has also been refused a medical exemption and is currently going through a rebuttal.
My son was injured by vaccines, so this topic is near and dear to my heart. It is so overwhelming to see the manipulation and deception and the loss of our rights in all of this.
Has your husband looked into getting a religious exemption? This post has more info on this:

It’s important to note that the Pfizer “FDA approval” is not for the vaccine that is currently being offered, meaning it is still EUA and a violation of the Nuremberg Code to force someone to be a part of a medical experiment.
I have found the following resources very helpful as well: Children’s Health Defense and The Highwire.
I pray that The Lord will lead you and your husband as you face this difficult situation. And I pray that more eyes are opened to the truth.
Many blessings to you and yours.
Thank you so much for sharing all of this information, Veronica! I will be praying for your sister!
I am so sorry to hear this as well! A relative of mine is in university in a area which has now mandated vaccines for all college / university campuses. She hasn’t gotten the vaccine yet and it was looking as if there might be no other way. Now, this past week, many, many people have spoken up against the decision and a change to the mandate is extremely possible. Speak up for your values and find like minded individuals in GA! Praying for you.
Thank you so much for the encouragement, Paige!
Ah, praying for you! I hate that they are trying to do these mandates. I keep thinking eventually they are going to have to drop all this, but it’s hard in the meantime when you are faced with these individual companies forcing families to make a choice. Praying for the Lord’s peace as you have to make hard decisions. 😔
Thank you so much, Callie!
I’ll be praying for you. This situation is facing so many people, and it stinks. We know many people who are having to change jobs because of this. There is no more fundamental right than the right to determine what is done to one’s own body. I pray that the number of people determined against the vaccine will be too many for the totalitarians to overcome!!
I hope so, too. Thank you so much for the prayers, Diana!
Hello!
I hate to hear about your husband’s job situation. I have been praying for your family. We are also in the south, northeast AL near Ft. Payne. My husband works in Huntsville and so far has not faced the vaccination dilemma. I do wonder if it will happen though…. In some ways we’ve already had to deal with the vaccine issue as far as new foster parent requirements (we are foster parents). We were able to gather a group and appeal to the state of AL and get some allowances made. Instead of being “kicked out” of fostering, we now just aren’t allowed to foster children under 1 or medically fragile children.
I enjoy reading your posts. I think I’ve emailed you before, but we are also a Sabbath observing family.

Hey, Nicole,
I’m with the other sisters, too. . . I am praying for your family!!! I’m with you: do not FORCE me to do anything to or in my body!!! We are *supposed* to have this freedom and it is almost surreal the way things are going right now. This entire thing (virus, vaccine, mandates, masks, etc.) can be so overwhelming!! Continue to cry out to the Father. He sees all.
Thank you so much, Stacie! We have been praying hard.❤️ You are such a sweet friend, and I appreciate your support!
