Modest Monday || Navy Floral Dress

Today has been a good day. We’ve worked on our schoolwork, I’ve jogged, and thought about plans to build a new storage building. Ladies, I’m so excited about this! I’d like my husband to stain it, and use silver metal for the roofing. Ah, I can’t wait. Once it’s completed, we should have enough space in our basement for a pantry room. We also have a man coming to look at our septic system soon. Fun times, ha!

I thought I would share my outfit today with you. It’s simple. It’s comfortable. It’s perfect for a busy mom like me.

Sleeveless Dress – Amazon

Blue Undershirt – Walmart

Sandals – Amazon

I’ve enjoyed wearing these sandals all summer. It’s most likely the last time I will wear them this season since cooler temperatures are in the forecast.

I’m not super comfortable in sleeveless dresses, so I usually pair them with a short sleeved shirt underneath. This outfit is just my style. Oh, and the dress has pockets! Perfection.

I love finding pieces that are feminine and pretty, but still honor God and properly cover our bodies. Some might think I’m old fashioned…this used to bother me, but hasn’t in quite some time. As long as I’m honoring the Lord (YHWH), other people’s opinions don’t really matter.

Besides, old fashioned things are some of the best things! How I love old fashioned pieces for my home. I’m drawn to them, to be certain.

Sometimes I wear a head covering all day long, and others, like today, I only wear one while praying, reading Scripture, and giving Bible lessons to my children.

I hope your week is a good one. We have more dental appointments ahead of us. Lord willing, we will visit a local corn maze next weekend. Other than that, we will be home. Home is such a beautiful place to work, play, and grow in, isn’t it?

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the Torah of Adonai. Happy are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with a whole heart, who also do no injustice, but walk in His ways. You have commanded that Your precepts be kept diligently. Oh that my ways were steadfast to observe Your decrees!

Very pretty! It looks flowy and comfortable and cool.
Your sandals remind me of my Okabashi sandals I’ve been wearing all summer. Same color, similar style, but totally rubber so I can wash them after tromping thru mud.

    Thanks for this encouraging post.

Your outfit is beautiful and the dress does look so comfortable. I am with you and I do not feel comfortable wearing sleeveless dresses or blouses. It’s hard to find sleeved shirts in the Summer, it seems like all the manufacturers want to sell sleeveless. So, short sleeved t-shirts are my “go-to” also. And forget those tiny “cap-sleeves”. They aren’t sleeves at all! Enjoy your day. I’ll be working in the garden tearing more of it down in preparation of Winter. I am getting the beds ready to put chopped grass and leaves onto the beds. Take care~

Hello, Darlene! Thank you so much! Yep, short sleeved shirts are amazing under dresses like this. What a lovely day to be working in the garden. I still have to tear out some of mine. Take care!
