Today the rain is pitter-pattering on my roof. It’s such a cozy day. Fall is definitely swooping in, which in turn is making me reach for warm and soft items in my closet.
This outfit consisted of several pieces that kept me warm and cozy all day long. I am huge on comfort. If it’s not comfortable, I will not wear it.
Sweater – Thrifted
Boots – Cabela’s
I’ve owned this brown dress for two years now, and I love it. It’s held up well, and has pockets. Pockets are very helpful, since I’m always finding odds and ends that actually belong elsewhere. It can be comical to look through my pockets at the end of the day!
I honestly haven’t been thrifting in a while, and have been itching to go back. I picked this sweater up at Goodwill. It is lightweight, and perfect for Georgia fall days.
This brown head wrap came in a variety pack. I’ve enjoyed wearing most of the colors, but brown and gray have been my favorites. Most likely because they match most everything!
My boots are lined with faux fur, which keeps my feet toasty warm. Almost too warm for this time of year. But since I spent most of my time indoors today, all was well.
Like I believe I mentioned in an earlier post, to me, trends and fashion shouldn’t matter so much when deciding what to wear. Instead, looking at what best exemplifies a feminine and modest spirit, inside and out, is what should be chosen.
Sometimes you must think outside the box when dressing this way. But, it can be done! Online shopping and thrifting will become your best friend. If you bring your need to the Lord (YHWH), then He will help you find modest pieces to add to your closet.
Well, I’m off to homeschool my children and to get a few Etsy orders ready for shipment. Today I will be working on a fun monkey birthday outfit. I hope you have a lovely day, ladies.
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
