Day in the Life | Pumpkin Pie + Our Thanksgiving Table

Hello, friends! I hope you are having a nice day. Today is exciting for my family because we are celebrating Hanukkah, along with getting ready to visit a light display. This should be a super fun day for my little guys. Tomorrow we are planning to get back to some of our schoolwork. The short break has been nice, though!

Over on YouTube, I recently shared a “Day in the Life” style video where I started to make pumpkin pie and set up our Thanksgiving table. I had never made pumpkin pie before. It turned out to be very easy, and I’m glad that I made it from scratch this time. The crust turned out good on the pumpkin pie, but not so much on our cookies and cream pie. Unfortunately, I under baked it! It was definitely a learning experience for me, and next time, I will leave the crust in the oven a little longer.

Our Thanksgiving table was simple and kid friendly, of course. I used things I already owned, as well as a few items I picked up from Hobby Lobby at a 75% off discount.

I hope you enjoy the video. I’m looking forward to today, and spending time with my family. I’m also excited about our dinner plans! There is a small Mexican restaurant in our town that is amazing, as well as fairly healthy. I’ve been enjoying their tacos so much, and I’ve found that they are pretty incredible even without cheese and rice. This is good, because I have been eating too many Thanksgiving leftovers recently, ha! My weight has remained steady, but has stalled over the past week or two. I still have about ten pounds I’d like to lose, and hopefully it will start to come off soon. I do believe the last five to ten pounds are the hardest. Later in the week I will be running a “fun run” with my little ones, which should be great. After I ran a 5k on Thanksgiving, they wanted to run a “race,” too! I want to encourage healthy habits with them, so I found a local one mile fun run for us to participate in. If you would like to read more about my weight loss as of October, you can find that post here.

If you celebrate Hanukkah, and are looking for free Messianic printables, you can find them here.

Many blessings to you, friends. I hope you have a lovely week serving your families.
