Modest Monday | Winter Date Night

Happy Monday! I hope you had a lovely weekend, friends. We’ve just been continuing to work on renovations over here. I’m not complaining though. Getting things fixed up around our home is certainly a blessing! I have loved to see the transformation happening, little by little.

My husband and I took a little break over the weekend to have a date night. Ladies, I love date night. We try our best to make it happen weekly. It doesn’t always come to fruition, but when it does, I’m one happy wife. It is a sweet time to reconnect one-on-one. With a large family in our home, it is nice to have a couple of quiet hours together.

After this photo was taken, I noticed a couple of toys laying on their side in our yard. That’s how it goes, isn’t it? You can also see two of my favorite trees of all time. When we sold what I thought was going to be our forever home in Georgia to get out of debt in 2017, we left behind a large crape myrtle tree in the backyard that I loved. Fast forward five years, and now, we have not one of these trees, but two. The Lord is so good to see the tiny desires of our hearts.

What I Wore:

Dress – Ross

Leggings – Amazon

Shoes – Shoe Dept.

My husband tends to prefer when I wear dresses of this style, so I picked this out for him. I tend to prefer long skirts. They are a bit warmer, to be sure!

I’ve owned this dress for years, ladies. Like, probably ten years. It is a nice and stretchy material, and it is also very forgiving. I wore it often when I was forty pounds heavier.

I’m looking forward to spending the rest of the week with my family, aren’t you? The Lord has been so good to give us homes and families to take care of!

Have a lovely week, ladies. Let’s make it a good one, and keep our eyes on the Lord.

Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
