Modest Monday | Navy Flowers

Hello friends, and Happy Monday! Ah, it is such a beautiful day today. The sun is so bright, and the frost is quickly evaporating from the ground. This morning I jogged up and down our driveway for awhile before uncovering my garden. I really enjoy the mornings that I spend outside. It just sets a good tone for the day, do you know what I mean?

It has been a huge blessing to have a (mainly) flat driveway! Most lots in our area are hilly. We do have hills on our land, but the driveway is perfect for jogging and riding bikes. You probably can’t tell in this picture, but we also have a mountain view in the winter! To the far left, the bluish area on the bottom area of the sky are our mountains. I’ve considered clearing trees so we can have a year-round view, but I also love the feeling of being surrounded by trees. So for now, we are settling for a winter view. Which really, isn’t settling at all!

Today is a homeschooling and grocery shopping day. I’m also going to be picking out items to send to our Membership Subscribers. Ah, such fun!

What I Wore:

Green Top – Walmart

Sweater – Walmart

Navy Floral Skirt – Amazon

Shoes – Shoe Dept.

All of these items are old, friends. I’ve owned this green top for probably ten years, and the sweater used to be my daughter’s. The skirt is getting a bit worn, but it is so incredibly comfortable, so I still wear it often. I do need to fold up the skirt a few times because I’m petite.

I think I’m coming to the end of my hair loss attributed to the lovely virus we picked up in September. My hair is very fine, and is prone to fall out easily. I’m discouraged about it, but I know in the scheme of things, it isn’t a big deal. I really don’t want to cut it, but I might need to start trimming it before long.

Homeschooling has been trying today, and I definitely have been asking the Lord for strength. Sometimes my early reader wants to learn, and other times she’d rather be doing something else. Isn’t this true for all of us? Anyhow, I was happy when our reading lesson was finished for the day, ha! And I’m sure she was, too.

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you, friends.

Your sweater reminds me of an Aran look.
