Happy Almost Valentine’s Day, friends! I usually don’t do much decorating for Valentine’s Day, but this year I decided to be different. Our family spent several years in “transition” I guess you can say, when we really evaluated what we celebrated and why. We have continued to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and after kind of a sad year for me, I thought it would be nice to add a few special touches to our home.
I decorate my home in mainly country/primitive decor. To me, this decor just “feels” the best, and so I’ve decided to go for it! I’m all about how a home makes me feel, rather than how it looks. Does that make any sense at all? I love the way I feel when I step into an old country store or a rustic cabin. I would love to have that same feeling when I step into my home!
Today I would like to go through and share Valentine’s pieces I’ve added this year. Most of them are inexpensive, and easy to find. So, here we go!
In the very first photo (above), I added a $7.00 quilted table topper that I found on Etsy. I also decorated with a berry heart wreath ($8.00) and glass heart canister ($10.00), both found at Home Goods. On the tree I hung a white heart with a verse from Ruth that I picked up at Hobby Lobby (on sale for $2.00).

The items in this photo I picked up at Hobby Lobby. The trio of wooden hearts was on sale for $6.00, and the hanging fabric hearts were on sale for $2.00 each. I really like to shop the sales at Hobby Lobby!

The heart and berry garland that you see above was on sale for $8.00 at Hobby Lobby. I probably spent the most money on the “Hugs, Kisses, Valentine’s Wishes” item. I purchased it from Etsy for $20.00 shipped. I did enjoy supporting an artisan and purchasing a handmade item, though.

The table runner in this photo was handmade by me, and yes, it does have something on it from my children’s art project. #reallife I picked up the fabric at Hobby Lobby. The vintage girl sign is also from Hobby Lobby, and was on sale for $2.00.

The xoxo sign was under $4.00 at Walmart. I was happy to find the metal hearts at Hobby Lobby, also on sale for under $2.00 each.
Most of the items that I purchased were very inexpensive. It’s nice to find little touches like these to add to my home.
I hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day if you celebrate. Also, be sure to check out this free Sloth Scripture Coloring Page Printable that is perfect for this month!
