Happy Friday, friends! I just wanted to pop in here for a minute to hopefully send a bit of encouragement your way. We have had a busy week around here. Come to think of it, all of our weeks have been busy lately. There is just so much to do when you are a keeper at home!
When I am busy, I have a choice to make. I can either have a good attitude, or a bad one. I can choose to view my tasks as divine tasks from God, or as interruptions in my day that keep me from what I’d rather be doing.
The truth of the matter is that each and every thing I do inside of my home matters, and has divine significance. When I look at the things I do each day in this light, I feel incredibly blessed to be a homemaker.
I “get” to serve my home and family each day! What a blessing!
Friday can be especially busy, since it is our Home Blessing Day. I like to get things nice and clean around here before the Sabbath if I can. I am typing out this post while giving baths to my children and cleaning up our dining room. Soon, I will work on my bathroom and make granola bars for my husband. Dinner is defrosting, and soon I will get to that as well.
I get to do these things! Praise God!

The Lord has given me breath, and a home and family to take care of. Not everyone has been blessed with these things. I shouldn’t take them for granted.
It’s not that I never have difficult moments. I certainly do. But I know that when I struggle with completing my homemaking tasks, I’m usually thinking more about myself than I should be. My priorities are not in the right place.
Instead, I need to renew my mind with God’s Word. This will give me the attitude that I need. A good attitude that is ready and willing to serve my family.
So, who’s with me? Let’s serve our families well with help from the Lord.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope your day is blessed.
I want to serve my family well, and that will always entail those little hidden and homely tasks. They are a means to a greater end!
They really are! Thank you so much for stopping by, Michele!
