Happy Friday, dear readers. While I already have written a newsletter for the Redeeming Home Membership that went up today, I feel compelled to write another post, too. I’m so thankful for the goodness of God, and I hope His goodness is apparent in this blog. For me, writing ebbs and flows. I love to write, and when I have ideas, they come to me all at once! I sometimes go through dry spells, too. Isn’t that true for most things in our life?
Anyhow, I came across a quote yesterday and I wanted to share it with you.
When I remembered to look up instead of around me and to offer the work to the Lord, it was much easier and more pleasant.
-Elisabeth Elliot
Isn’t Elisabeth Elliot encouraging? Reading this quote reminded me of our Let Me Be a Woman study from last year. She always offered such encouragement.
Today has been very busy for me. I have just a few minutes of time before I must milk our goat and then give baths to our little ones. And boy, am I tired.
What should I do in times like these?
I should remember to look up. While the tasks in my home were almost overwhelming today, I know that the Lord would never give me more than I could handle. When I’m extra busy, I need to remember that likely the Lord is growing me in some way. He is making me stronger. As a wife and mama, I want to be strong!

I should also remember to offer my work to the Lord. When the jobs around our home are not just about me, then their importance becomes apparent. If you think about it, homemaking has eternal significance! We are to do everything as unto the Lord. And he sees us, friends. He truly sees. Isn’t it wonderful? Even if we are folding laundry in the quiet of our bedroom, God knows about it. He also sees our heart attitude.
I hope that my heart is overflowing with gratitude when He looks upon it. Oh, this isn’t always so! But with God’s help, my work is definitely easier and more pleasant than it used to be.
As believers, we should always be growing in our faith. It’s wonderful when we see God working in our lives, isn’t it? Most often I see changes in things like my attitude and contentment level. I’m sure these changes are a blessing to my family.
Well, it’s time for me to go and milk our goat. It’s funny, I never thought those words would come out of my mouth! But here we are. And I’m very thankful to have a milk source in our backyard!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope that you have a lovely weekend!
