God Cares About the Little Things

Today was a tiring day. We decided to put mulch and rocks around a landscaped area near the road, which is something I had planned on doing for awhile now. The rocks and mulch had been sitting off to the side for weeks. Even though the weather was warm, today was the day. We kept putting this project off and I knew that the time was now.

It has reached the middle of summer, and I’ve come to the realization that not all of my summer project plans are going to come to fruition. As much as I’d like them to, most of the time projects take longer than expected.

One of my projects was to till and plant a certain area and plant Bright Lights Cosmos, which are orange and yellow. I thought these would be so cheerful, and would greet us whenever we came home.

That project was put on the back burner, and will not be happening this year.

Today while I was working on spreading mulch, I realized that a large amount of wild Black Eyed Susan was blooming in just the area where I had planned on planting the Cosmos. There is a good twenty foot stretch of them.

And tears came to my eyes. What a loving and personal God we serve. In the exact area that I had hoped to plant yellow/orange flowers, He grew them for me. I didn’t even have to do a thing. I’ve not had to water them, or take care of them at all.

I listened to a sermon the other day that gave me pause. The speaker said that the Holy Spirit is the operative member of God in our lives today, and that the Father is mainly silent. He also said that God isn’t interested in the little details/choices of our lives.

Well, I beg to differ. First of all, I believe they are one and the same. Secondly, just like I am interested in every detail of my children’s lives, our Heavenly Father is interested in all of the details in mine.

He cares enough to send me a patch of flowers that weren’t there last year. This is a very small thing that I wanted, and He gave it to me.

He is such a good Father.

He cares about the details in your life too, friend. He really does.

Let’s surrender our lives to Him and love Him with all of our heart. That is not too much to ask.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope your day is blessed!

What an amazing testimony. Our God is real and living. Read Psalm 33, especially verses 12,13,14,15 I think they confirm your statement that the Lord does care about our daily details.
