Modest Monday + A Talk About Anxiety

Hey friends, and welcome to the blog! I hope you have a lovely week ahead of you.

Life has been pretty good here. I definitely cannot complain. The Lord has filled my life with His blessings and goodness.

That doesn’t mean that everything is always perfect, however. Honestly, lately I have been struggling with some anxiety.

I am a very anxious person by nature. Oh, how I wish I was more easy going and laid back! Over the years the Lord has helped me with this, but it is still a struggle.

Last week, I’ve been worried about several things that really aren’t worrisome. Details about our Friday and weekend were bothering me, and then I came down with a headache that lasted several days. I haven’t had a headache in a very long time, and I knew it was a sign that I needed to relax.

It is very annoying to stress out about small details in life, when I would much rather be unaffected. I would like nothing more than to take changes in our schedule in stride, without worrying about every single detail.

I know these are opportunities for me to rely on the Lord, and to turn to His Word. It is comforting to know that He will never leave me or forsake me.

I have asked Him to help me with my anxiety in the past and He has. He really has! I know that He can do it again.

I realize that anxiety usually creeps in when I’m thinking about worldly things instead of concentrating on God. This is most always the case for me.

I can tell that I have been anxious about inflation, and money in general lately. This anxiety has spilled over into other areas of my life.

Instead, I need to remember about how the Lord has always taken care of us. We have never been in need. He has been so good.

There is no need for me to worry about anything, because my Father is there.

I am going to concentrate on that this week. I know He holds me and my family in His hands.

I wore this outfit on a normal homemaking, homeschooling day. It is super comfy and warm. I really like to wear maxi skirts like this one, because I can move so freely in them. I have worn several pencil skirts lately that have felt restrictive. This one was perfect!

I also filmed several new YouTube videos on this day. I can’t wait for them to be available on my channel!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today, friends. I hope it somehow is a blessing to you. I know that you are a blessing to me!

Let’s remember to serve our families and homes well. I’ll talk to you soon!
