Modest Monday | Gray Sweater Dress

Hey friends, and welcome to the blog! It is a beautiful, but cold, Monday morning. Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I am just so thankful for all of the blessings the Lord has given me. He has been so good, even when I’m undeserving.

I wanted to share a new outfit with you today.

I picked this dress up along with several others from Emery Rose. I’ve talked about Emery Rose before, and I love to purchase inexpensive dresses from there.

I don’t believe I’ve ever owned a sweater dress. It is nice and comfortable, especially on days like today. It is not overly thick, which is nice.

I paired it with a pair of jeans that I purchased off of Amazon. I really like them, and they go well under knee-length dresses like this one.

I’m still struggling with my hair loss from Covid. My hair is becoming thicker at the top, but is growing so very slowly. I have been acutely aware of my vanity during this stage in my life. As much as I’d like for my hair to be nice and thick, it just isn’t. I know in the grand scheme of things, my hair doesn’t matter. What matters is my relationship with God and my family.

I wore this outfit during a normal homemaking/homeschooling day. Everyone worked through their schoolwork quickly, since we were counting down the hours until Thanksgiving break. I made vegetable soup and sourdough bread, which is one of our weekly staples. I also spent some time cleaning the kitchen, and my son chopped the rest of the peppers from our garden which had been sitting in the refrigerator. It was an all around good day!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today, friends. Let’s serve our home and family well!
