How We Are Spending Our Day

Hello friends, and welcome to the blog! I hope you have a good day ahead of you.

We plan to play some games, and make some puzzles. It should be fun! Tonight is the last night of Hanukkah, and I am really looking forward to it. I hope to share more about how we spent Hanukkah with you soon.

About nine years ago we decided to stop celebrating Christmas. Last year, we drove the Ripley’s Aquarium in Gatlinburg, TN for the day. It was so crowded, and waits at local restaurants were clocking in at around 3 hours! We ended up eating snacks on the way home. This year, we decided to stay home, and I anticipate it being a much nicer day.

A severe cold front has moved in a couple of days ago, and the Lord has been so merciful and kind to us. I was worried that we might lose power on that first night, but never did.

Today Rusty will probably work on our wood stove area some more. Exciting stuff, I tell you. There are so many fun things going on right now.

I might write a 2022 recap post soon. I think this has been one of my best years yet. Again, I have felt the Lord’s mercy strongly! It has been such a sweet year for my family, and we have enjoyed it so much. God has also allowed us to get a lot of renovations done to our home, which has been a huge blessing. I feel like I’m stepping into a spa every morning when I walk into my bathroom. It’s a pretty nice feeling!

I guess I just wanted to drop in to say “hello.” I hope you have a lovely day, and remember that you are never alone. The Lord loves you so much!

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
