Hey friends, and welcome to the blog. It has been such a busy day around here, and I am thankful to sit at my computer for awhile and write to you.
It definitely hasn’t been a bad day…it’s just been busy. It was full of homeschooling, cooking and cleaning. Now our books are tucked away until Monday, and our home is nice and clean. It feels wonderful!
There have been times in my life when I might have complained about having a day like this. I didn’t have any time to myself, and my feet ache from standing for so long. There were a couple of sibling disagreements along the way, and not everything went according to my plans.
But friends, I was happy today, and my emotions were balanced. The Lord truly helped me remain calm during a couple of episodes with one of my children. A couple of months ago, I would have struggled with this. I might have remained calm on the outside, but I wouldn’t have on the inside!
Lately, I fully realize that I am on a mission each day when I wake. I am God’s daughter, and He created me to spread His goodness. If we belong to Him, He created us to spread His message with all of our actions. We cannot do this if we have a complaining spirit, or are focused on our troubles.
No, our calling is higher than that! We have kingdom work to do.
The enemy would like nothing more than if we spent the day focused inwardly and on the ways we wish our lives were different. This would put us “out of commission,” as far as our witness goes.

Instead of thinking about our troubles, let’s think about just how many people we can help today. Let’s think about loving God with all of our heart, soul, and might.
When we do this, God’s goodness will follow us wherever we go. I’ve realized that when I spend my time thinking about others, my own troubles suddenly do not seem so important. We can leave those troubles with the Lord when we serve Him instead.
I hope you are encouraged on this Sabbath day. We can choose to spread His goodness, which will give us a full and meaningful life.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. Let’s remember to serve our home and family well!
