A Sweet Day at Home | Sabbath Thoughts

Hello sweet friends, happy Sabbath. I hope you have a great day ahead of you.

I haven’t really shared many thoughts about our home life in writing lately. Instead, I’ve made videos. But today I wanted to share a little bit about what went on yesterday, and the hope I hold.

I had a lot on my plate…or a lot scheduled, really. I have a tendency to over schedule myself. It’s no problem though, and I usually push the things I don’t get done onto another day.

We started off with our schooling. There was one meltdown, and a privilege had to be taken away. Everything ended well, though. I know we all have hard moments, and hard days. It’s to be expected. The important thing is to talk through it, and to remain calm. An upset mama + an upset child doesn’t help anything!

My older children and myself had a spontaneous faith conversation later in the day. Those are the best kind. We also worked on our Hebrew studies, and had spelling tests all around.

We all pitched in to clean the house. I love to have a clean home by the time Friday evening rolls around. It doesn’t always happen, but it sure feels good when it does.

I also made dinner, and did a quick tidy after it was done. One of my older daughters was home for the day, and it was so nice to have her here.

It was a day full of blessings. Sure, there were moments less than ideal, and I could choose to dwell on those. But if I did I wouldn’t really be honoring God, and I would likely feel frustrated.

I have such hope that the Lord will lead me along if I choose to give Him each moment of the day, and keep my thoughts and actions focused on His will for me.

He has been faithful, friends. More days than not feel wonderful since I decided to keep my focus on Him.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. I’ll talk to you soon!
