Sabbath Thoughts | A Week Well Lived

Hello friends, and welcome to the blog! I hope you have had a good week.

This week has been nice. We’ve pretty much stayed at home and tended to everything we have going on here. It has been lovely.

This is a good life, and it has been a week well lived. I’m thankful to God for it. I’m so glad He showed me the benefit of staying at home with my children.

Once I had a mindset shift, and asked the Lord to help me value what He does, everyday life seems beautiful. I get to serve Him fresh each day. How wonderful! I get to be a big part of my husband and children’s lives. How lovely!

I’m not joking. I really mean this. I actually feel this way.

A week spent with my family is a week well lived.

We didn’t really do anything special. We cooked, cleaned, and homeschooled. I did a little bit of work outdoors, which was lovely. We went out to eat once, which was a treat.

I think our attitude is so important, friends. We can look at things as being routine and mundane, or we can view them as assignments from God to bring goodness to the world.

I want my thoughts, actions, and words to bring life! I hope my family is better because I am here with them.

All of this is possible with the Lord.

Today should be another quiet day at home. We likely will study the Bible for a little while together, and spend some time outdoors. This evening my husband and I will go for a run.

It sounds perfect.

I hope you are encouraged to embrace the life you have, and to learn to love it. Ask the Lord to help you find ways to bring light to others. I know He will help you.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. Let’s remember to serve our home and family well!
