Hello friends, and welcome to the blog!
I like to share clothing outfits from time to time here. I dress a little differently than most women do, and I think it can be both fun and meaningful to post about my outfit choices.
When thinking about this new year and changes I might want to make, I started to feel convicted about just how much clothing I have. I have more than enough. I definitely do not need to buy clothing for quite some time!
So I decided to challenge myself to a “No Spend” clothing year. I’ve done this two years in the past when we were paying off our debt, so I know I can do it.
My hope is to spend more time working on my heart, and less time thinking about my outward appearance. More of Him, and less of me.
Right now, I’m doing just fine. It has felt easy! The real challenge will come when the seasons change and I notice a hole or two in my wardrobe. But honestly, I don’t think it will be difficult at all.
I think in America we are so used to overabundance that we don’t realize just how little we actually need and just how much God has blessed us.
I explain my thinking a little bit more in the video above, if you’d like to watch. It is from my YouTube channel.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. God bless!
That’s awesome. I’m needing to make some more dresses and skirts because I’m losing weight and I’m almost at my weight loss goal.
