We Celebrated a Birthday This Weekend

Hey friends, and welcome to the blog. I hope all is well with you!

Yesterday we took my daughter out to celebrate her 17th birthday, which is on Monday. Seventeen? I can hardly believe it. She is such an amazing young lady, and I’m very thankful to be her mama!

She decided to go to Mellow Mushroom since she loves pizza. We drove into Chattanooga, and also swung into Costco and Whole Foods while we were at it.

We try to visit these two stores about once a month or so. They are around forty-five minutes from home, but it is worth it to me. There are several organic items that I try to keep in the house that I can only find in these places. The new bioengineered labeling has been eye opening, and I now avoid a couple of brands I used to buy at local stores.

My daughter also wanted to visit two shoe stores, two pet stores, Walmart, and and our favorite ice cream place. It was quite the trip! The animals at the pet stores were adorable. I would have come home with a few of them if we had room.

It was such a fun evening hanging out with a couple of our teenagers. She requested that our son come along too, and we all had a good time.

I’m really looking forward to tomorrow. My husband and I will hopefully have our first six mile run together since our half marathon. I have missed our training runs. It actually was a really good time to catch up with each other. Our next 5k is in two weeks!

I am so thankful for my husband. He always does his best to make me feel so special. I really don’t deserve him. I am so grateful the Lord saw fit to bring us together.

After our run, I think it will be a day of planting and projects. Our twenty one-year-old will be returning home from a week at Disney World with friends, and I can’t wait to catch up with her, too.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
