Hey friends, and welcome to the blog. I hope your day will be amazing, and filled with God’s love!
Yesterday was so nice. My daughter turned seventeen-years-old! Birthdays are always so special. We spent the day at home, and enjoyed eating cake and potato chips. A rarity, indeed!

I spent a good bit of the day spreading mulch in our perennial flower beds. My husband was able to pick up a good sized load, and I’m so glad to check this off of my to-do list. The weather was just about perfect, and it was so nice to spend the day outdoors.
We got bits and pieces of our schoolwork done between the birthday celebration and outdoor work. Our home is currently a mess, but everyone is happy. Sometimes that’s all that matters!
For dinner, my husband picked up Subway, which is one of my daughter’s favorites. Afterwards, we watched The Prince of Egypt in honor of Passover week. What fun!
I am excited because one of our goats should have her babies in about a week or so. I can’t wait to see what she has! At the same time, I am always a bit nervous before they arrive safely. Hopefully all will be well, though. I am praying for a safe delivery.
My two oldest sons will be going fishing with their grandfather for a few days this week. I’m sure they will have a grand time, but I definitely will miss them! All of us girls will have to pick up the slack as far as outdoor chores go.
Those are just a few of the things coming up in our home. But for now, I’m thankful for a nice day to celebrate my daughter. She is so special, and I’m very thankful that God made me her mama!
I’m sure I will be regrouping tomorrow, schoolwork, laundry, and a few other chores will be on my agenda.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog, friends. Let’s remember to serve our homes and families well!
