Hey friends, and welcome to the blog!
Oh, it has been quite a day so far! Unfortunately, homeschooling hasn’t gone as smoothly as I had hoped today. We’ve had some heart issues to deal with, my own included.
That’s just the way it goes sometimes, isn’t it? I’m so thankful that the Lord offers us forgiveness. His mercies are new every morning. Things have been going better for a couple of hours now. Two of my girls are hard at work, and my six-year-old is done for the day. It’s funny, even after a hard day I’ve found myself taking a peek at homeschool curriculum possibilities for next year. I’m a homeschool mom for life, I guess!
Mabrey and I were able to spend some time in the garden this afternoon. It was super fun. It is so exciting to see her love for gardening blossom. She also enjoyed feeding our chickens while I transplanted strawberry plants.
Yesterday was a big laundry day for me, and I didn’t get quite finished. I ended up putting the last load in the dryer this morning. My older children handle their own laundry, and I take care of about six people. I usually have two big laundry days each week.
I put in a grocery order, and we will be picking it up this afternoon. My husband requested that we pick up Mexican food for dinner as well. Ah, what a treat! I can hardly wait for him to come home so we can leave.
While today didn’t start out so smoothly, life feels good right now. It’s amazing the difference a few hours makes.
Search me, O God, and know my heart!Psalm 139:23-24
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
I hope your day is wonderful, friends. Let’s remember to serve our homes and families well!
