A Brand New Week

Hey friends, and welcome to the blog! I hope your day is blessed and is filled with our Father’s love.

It’s a brand new week, and is full of possibilities. I’m excited to see what it brings. Sometimes life is hard, but there are always blessings to be found.

This weekend was good. My husband and I went out on a date to Cheddars. Their Vegetable Plate is so yummy! We also bought new shoes for our girl’s growing feet and a few new plants. It was lovely!

Yesterday my husband and sons started to stain our new covered patio. It was quite the job! By the end of the day, they ran out of stain. Lord willing, we will pick up more this week.

Our doe Nora gave birth yesterday, too. She had two live babies, and one was stillborn. This was so sad, but I know that it happens. One of our ducks also suddenly died yesterday. New life and death mixed together to create both happiness and sadness.

The two surviving baby goats were bucklings. This means we will likely retain our bottle baby Nellie, who was the only doeling born on our little farm this year. We had one doeling and five bucklings!

This morning I am up bright and early because we are taking our children to an amusement park today. They are really looking forward to it. To be honest, I’d rather stay home after yesterday. But I’m going to forge ahead with a good attitude, and create some memories with my babies.

The Lord gives and takes away, and He is always good.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends. Let’s remember to serve our homes and families well!
