Homemaker Happenings | April 19, 2023

Hey friends, and welcome to the blog today.

April has been filled with so much fun so far! To be honest, it’s been a little overwhelming. We spent the day at Dollywood yesterday. The weather was perfect, and it was also perfectly uncrowded! We only stayed until around 4 pm, but got to ride everything we wanted multiple times.

We don’t spend a lot of money on entertainment, but we have invested in Dollywood Season Passes the past couple of years. We have made some really good memories there. We always bring our lunch, and park by a creek when we can to enjoy it. Other than the cost of the passes themselves, our trips there are very economical.

When we returned home I was a little overwhelmed by all I had to get done around the house. I straightened up our dining room and kitchen, and unloaded the bags we had brought to the amusement park. By the time bedtime rolled around, I was much happier with the state of things.

Today has been good. Homeschooling, cooking, and laundry are almost done for the day, and I was able to get a good run in. It almost seems like a different place here now that it’s spring. The trees have created a canopy of privacy, and I am loving all of the green!

After I finish this post, I plan to fold laundry and possibly plant some wildflower seeds that I found at Tractor Supply. Hopefully my three-year-old will join me. He likes to freely explore when we are outside, and I really have to keep my eye on him!

I am loving my home, and am so grateful for the place the Lord has put me in. He knows just what we need even when we don’t quite know ourselves. In many ways, I have grown as a wife, mother, and homemaker while here. I’m excited to see what comes next!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Let’s remember to serve our homes and families well!
