Homemaker Happenings | April 27, 2023

Good morning, friends. I hope you are doing well!

While it was sunny at the beginning of the week, our days have now turned to rain. I was hoping to fit a run in this morning, and hopefully will be able to at some point. I guess I could run in the rain, right? I’ve done it before! Maybe one day I will decide to purchase a treadmill.

Our days have been good. My husband has worked from home a few days this week, and it has been nice to see his face. We’ve been chugging along with our schoolwork. My fourth grader has joined the ranks of my kindergartner, and they are both done for the year. Of course, I’ve started to look at next year’s curriculum, and have even bought a few things. That’s how it goes, right?

We picked up groceries yesterday evening, along with shoes for a violin performance. I usually purchase a small gift for my children on performance days, and I completely forgot about that. It looks like I will be scrambling to find something on their recital day. Hopefully Dollar General will come to the rescue!

Tonight is our soup and bread night, and I’m really looking forward to it. It’s one of my favorite dinners of the week. I think a rainy day will make it feel even more comforting.

Yesterday I was thinking about just how important it is for mamas to be home with their children in this day and age. Well, it’s always been important, really. I would just like to encourage you that your work matters. You are irreplaceable. I’m sure your presence in the home means so much to your family.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I will talk to you soon.

Blessings, Nicole
