Homemaking…being a mama…being a wife…homesteading. These are a few of my favorite things.
I decided to ditch the typical modern life of rush and hurry, and seek the old paths. If this interests you, I’m so glad you’re here! Let’s be friends.
…that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Welcome to Redeeming Home.
I started blogging in 2013 to share about the ups and downs of motherhood, and along the way, I discovered that a simple, quiet life is what I desired for my family.
I hope you are encouraged here by the posts I’ve written over the years. I also hope you understand how very loved you are by our Great God. If you are seeking to simplify your life, welcome. I’m learning right along with you. Life is a journey, so let’s enjoy it as we grow more each day.
We are slowly renovating our five acre homestead.
Debt freedom is important to us, so we are renovating bit by bit. We currently own chickens, goats, ducks, dogs, rabbits, and a cat. With a large family as well, there is never a dull moment! We’ve learned to live simply, and to only spend money on items that truly matter to us.
Holistic living for God’s glory is important to us. I am continuously learning ways to simplify our lives and schedules, while also trying to balance old-fashioned ways and values with our modern world.
The Lord has such good plans for us inside of our homes, friends! Let’s embrace our calling and go along for the ride!
Thank you for visiting!
