October Home and Homestead Update

Hello, friends! I hope you are having a lovely day. Today I wanted to share a Home and Homestead Update that I’ve posted to my YouTube channel with you.

I am so happy about the work my husband has done in our Master bedroom. The room has really been transformed! I’m doing my best to add a lot of natural elements. I want it to feel like the outside, inside, if that makes any sense.

Lord willing, I will film a Master Suite makeover video to share all of the updates that have been made.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today friends. Blessings!

September 2022 Garden Tour

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend so far. Yesterday was my birthday, and I am actually excited to be 42. I don’t dread growing older. I try my best to always look forward to what the Lord has in store for me and my family.

Last week I filmed what will likely be one final garden tour. There isn’t a lot going on in my garden, but I’m so thankful for the okra, beans, and sweet potatoes that are still going strong! I also have some lettuce coming in. What a blessing!

The beginning of this video isn’t the highest quality. I have got to figure out how to film outdoors without background noise. Or how to remove the background noise. I am not technologically savvy at all!

Anyhow, I hope you enjoy this video. Welcome to my garden!

From Our Homestead | Spring 2022 Video Update

I don’t post a video to YouTube very often lately, but when I do, I want to share it with you! My phone has given me all kinds of trouble lately (which is what I film on), but I am hesitant to upgrade. Nope, I just don’t want to do it! There are too many other important things to spend money on. At the moment, I pretty much want to spend our money only on homestead things, with a little bit of family fun on the side. Given the state of the world, I think this is important.

In this video, I share a few things going on around our homestead. I am a sweaty mess, since I had just ran three miles. During my cool down I thought, Why don’t I turn on my camera and film what has been going on around here? So I did.

While nothing here is extraordinary or special, I think it is important for us to encourage each other to do what we can to prepare for the future and take care of our families.

I think our culture has grown to rely on an increasingly fragile food system, and I want to do something about it. We are nowhere close to growing all of our own food! But each day we are one step closer to self sufficiency than we were the day before.

Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the video if you watch it. I am a total amateur at filming, to be sure!

Have a blessed day, friends. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.
